really liked it
bookshelves: ya, first-reads

I was able to read Deep Zone from Goodreads First Reads Giveaway.

I really liked reading Deep Zone, which surprized me. I am not a big sports fan. But this book isn't just about football. It's about determination, hard work, and making new friends. Deep Zone was packed full of action and details.

Ty Lewis is a receiver on a seven man team that's trying to get to the top. He looks up to his older brother Thane, who is his inspiration in football. The two brothers get caught up in a huge family mess; the outcome of choices made in despiration. Mobsters are also involved, and they never forget. Thane is severly injured during a game which leaves Ty trying to look out for both of them. Troy White is the star quarterback of the rival team; they butt heads instantly. There are so many things going on, but he must focus on playing the game.
