Basically what you expect it to be.

The story starts out describing what you see in the movie, with a little extra background information. The parts from the movie are almost word for word.

Then you reach the point when Aladdin gets the lamp in the Cave Of Wonders. That's the turning point where things change and the story becomes a little darker than the happy version we all know and love.

Bad things happen to some of our favorite characters, and we get introduced to new characters along the way. The magic is darker and less amusing than what we're used to, but you still get pulled in to the story. You want to see how it all ends.

For me, the ending was bittersweet. I liked how some things turned out, but I didn't like some other aspects of it. (view spoiler)

Overall, this was an entertaining story. It won't win any awards, but it was a fun retelling nevertheless.
