What They Don't Know
It's interesting to read a doctor's fictional take on just how bad the future of medicine could be. This book is timely with the shifting medical landscape. Who should be in charge of medical decision making? Who should pay for it? I particularly enjoyed the medical advances the author imagined: "med screens" with actual people reminding patients to take their medicine, an MRI/laser combination with the ability to erase memories... I don't typically read thrillers and the last few chapters definitely had me on edge, turning pages rapidly. The ending was perfect!
