An enjoyable thriller in the Dan Brown bestseller mode: an ordinary person is caught up in a chase which has its origins in the distant past. At stake is a treasure from Mesopotamia which has links to ancient history, the Bible and alchemy. The action, which takes place during August 2003 as the Iraqi war rages, adds a disturbing counterpoint. The author has done an incredible amount of research and the book is hard to put down.
