really liked it

I loved the way the author brought us into this family. They were a rather typical family - not perfect, by any means, but easy to relate to. The book flap informed me that there would be tragedy and I felt myself braced for it - certain that it would come from one angle and then from another. What actually happened was worse than I'd imagined, and I have a pretty vivid imagination when it involves bad things that might happen. Watching the recovery from this incident was fascinating.
