it was amazing
Read from December 05 to 28, 2011

It took me a long time to actually get round to reading "A Game of Thrones". James, Suzanne and Dad had all read it, I needed the promise of the Christmas break to start, as at over 800 pages of small print, it was going to take a while. And it's a big tome to carry around in your handbag.

But, now I'm hooked and already looking forward to book 2 of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. There are some great characters, I like all of the Stark kids, particularly Arya. The style suits me too, with reasonably short chapters focussing in on one person's story. As most people who read these books, I'm sure, I did have to flip to the appendix fairly often, just to keep track of how everyone is related.

Truly, an excellent read. Think I need to book a holiday so that I can move on to book 2.

Sue Based on you two, I've now got this on my "to read" list, downloaded to my Kindle. It's not a genre I've read much of so I'm looking forward to it.
