it was amazing
bookshelves: ebooks, steampunk, 2011-favorites, read-in-2011
Read from August 18 to 21, 2011

Once again, Morgan Karpiel has written a book that satisfies my desire to read about sex in a steampunk setting! Also, once again, I'm stunned by the amount of emotion Morgan Karpiel can write into a story of this length. My weepy, leaking girl side totally came out IN FORCE while I was reading.

Nadira's life has been dark and lonely. The deception she's been forced into for the past several years has slowly crushed her. She's given up on happiness until Jacob, who is himself deceiving those around him, shows her gentleness. There's something about two people finding one another despite all the odds against them that makes me smile.

This series continues to impress me, both the breadth of the world that Morgan Karpiel has created and the depth of emotion that she can pull from me as I'm reading it. Wonderfully imaginative, this is one world you won't want to leave once you fall into it.
