really liked it

first of a proposed trilogy of stories about gender roles and career choices. this is the first book which looks at a 12 year old girl who is saved by a girls preparatory school from a court imposed hanging. the young woman gains an education and then embarks on a career as a spy or undercover operative in a family home noted for its' criminal activities related to sailing ships and missing shipments which are paid out by Lloyds of London.. This is an excellent book for youths to read.
