really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, series

Wow. 4.5 stars. It dragged a bit in spots, or I would have gone all the way to 5. What a fantastic conclusion to an intriguing series.

Sieh, the Trickster and Godling of Childhood, has met his match in Arameri twins Deka and Shahar. The three make a pact when the twins are 6, changing Sieh - and the world as they know it - forever.

Lots of political intrigue, manipulation, and societal decay. I like Jemisin's writing, and the world she has created here, and I'm sorry to see it go. I particularly enjoyed the short story, "Not the End," that was included as bonus material, as well as the "glossary" that had been defaced by, presumably, Sieh, in a fit of childish rage.
