it was amazing
bookshelves: 2017, teen-ya, verse, signed-books, male-authors, hardbacks, female-authors

Oh I loved this! A book in verse told from the point of view of Jess, a troubled teen who has just been caught shoplifting and Nicu, a Romanian immigrant. They first meet in a rehabilitation centre for teens who have been in trouble with the police. There are alternant chapters told in each "voice" and we slowly see their relationship develop. Niko's voice is so lovely especially, written in broken English he so sweet.
I was lucky enough to meet the authors and listen to how they created a jointly written work like this. I wasn't sure I was going to like verse books but I'm a convert!
