really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, 2011-books, audio

Brienne is ugly. non-named women are raped. this information is explained over and over and over.

aside from that, this is another book that is brilliant fantasy political intrigue and adventure in a world where magic is assumed to be dead. Martin shines when he's giving us a POV of someone sympathetic who's working for an unsympathetic side of the conflict. we want Joffrey to fall, but keep Sansa and Tyrion safe! Stannis is corrupt and evil, but we appreciate Ser Davos' point of view. engrossing and recommended.

Leilla And the audio version is good? Or would it better to read in paper?

The narrator really turned me off in Game of Thrones (Made Drogo sound nasal and whiny, if you can believe it.) But he's grown on me, and hearing this gruff British man yell, "BROTHERF****** BROTHERF***** BROTHERF*****" made me laugh out loud in my car. The only downside is it's like 32 hours or so, so if you read fast you may get impatient.

[edited to add I LOVE his Tyrion voice.)

Irene Eesh. His tyrion voice is what ruined it for me.
