really liked it
bookshelves: favorite-fiction, southern-fiction

I was pleasantly surprised. Having been raised during the time and place the book takes place, I was somewhat leery, afraid Ms Stockett would portray Mississippi ind a bad light yet again. While the Jr. Leagers are a bit stereotypical, I have to admit I snickered at my own recognition at some of that behavior. I love the rich characters she creates and the book was a delightful read!
