I just lap this stuff up. My consumption of Harry Dresden this year has been notable for its excess. In part, it's because this particular branch of dark fantasy is a works away from the style of the books I'm writing myself this year, that it makes an easy break from it all. Anyway, this novel takes Harry in some new directions, as he's recruited by an organisation that he loathes, and finds himself making bargains with temptation itself. You know it's all going to come back to haunt him... more of the same, with the emergence of some new ongoing threads, and Harry's as entertaining a narrator as ever.
