I am currently reading this book and would recomend this to EVERYONE.

I know I'm a nerd and I like all things related to space travel, but this book shows the realality of becoming an astronaut. You'll read other books that tell you about the romance of being an astronaut and how it was an honor. Mike takes all of that and puts you in his shoes. He's a good old boy and a military fly boy. He's rude, crude and offensive at times. When I think of astronauts who have military backgrounds, I think of Mike. I know way TOO many military people to know that they curse and spit and if they don't, they're dead. There's polish in there too but it's mostly cursing and spiting.

Comeon how can you not read a book that has a chapter about how he was going to have the cleanest colon of all the other canidates because this was a compotition amongst other Type-A people.
