really liked it

I'm a huge fan of Drinkwater's horror pieces and there's no exception with Turner. For me, the story started off just a tiny bit slow, but boy, once the danger of the island became evident, it took off from there. My favorite scene involved a lighthouse; I felt my heart racing as I read and cheered at a particular outcome which I won't spoil. It's evident a huge amount of research went into writing this novel, as seen by the beautiful detail in description. I honestly found myself skimming over some parts as such just to get back to the suspenseful action and gore, which is fabulous, hence 4 stars instead of 5. Could I rate by halves, this is a 4.5 for me.
