it was amazing

What a wonderful read! Set in the turn of the 12c, in the Welsh border area, it is a novel centred on the fictional character of Guyon FitzMiles, and his wife Judith. True historical characters include Robert de Belleme (Earl of Shewsbery), and his off-sider Walter de Lacey, who both show the darker characters of time, and also appearances from William Rufus and Henry I.[return]The relationship of Guy and Judith has a feel very much like that of Llewellyn and Joanna in Sharon Penmans Here Be Dragons. So if you loved this book as much as I did, then The Wild Hunt is a great book! It won a Betty Trask award, which is an award for young romance writers, but to me the romance part of the book was just a part of a more compelling story of the times, which is superbly researched and evocatively written.
