really liked it
bookshelves: fiction, friendship, young-adult, teen-topics, adventure

Move over boys from Lord of the Flies because the girls have taken over this island. If you liked the movie Drop Dead Gorgeous then you'll find this rollicking romp to be quite humorous and fun. The story also packs a powerful girl power message. With a nod to Japser Forde's Thursday Next novels with its corporation ads and footnotes throughout the story, this story is amusing and engaging. And of course, I LOVE that Miss Teen NH is one of the few survivors of the plane crash AND she's brilliant AND only entered the contest to bring it down. Witty and satirical, the lessons these babes/bitches learn are ones all young women should know. Women's Lit/Women's Studies teachers should think about using this book with their students.
