really liked it

When you happen to have been born and raised in Austria and when at my time (I stress my time because it is different now) you were never taught anything about WWII at school and when you didn't hear much about it in your family either, then you eventually start investigating yourself and then this most comprehensive book really comes into its own. Although WWII was a long time ago, it should be in every home as a permanent reminder of how quickly we can descend into darkness.

Whoverstreet Overstreet Elfie, I can sympathize. I'm in my late 30s and grew up in Mississippi. Like your experience in Austria, we learned very little in school about the darker part of our past. Had to educate myself...
