I picked up this book because being the only daughter of my parents, I miss out on the joy that sisters share. I have read this book twice till now, the first one being the more enjoyable one.

Danielle gives us a peek into the lives of four young sisters, each living a different life. The girls are lovely, successful and every thing what any girl wants to be. Much of what they have achieved is due to the fact that they have strong family grounds and parents who have confidence in them.

The story starts with the 4th of July nearing with each girl packing up, all geared for a much awaited weekend with her family. Each has a menacingly busy profession and can scarcely ever tear herself from the demanding commitments of her profession. Yet for them, family always come first and even when it comes as a shock to most people around them, they blandly cancel all plans whatsoever in order to be home for the holidays. But things do not turn out as planned. One planned weekend turns into several unplanned weekends at home where a horrific tragedy has struck and the almost perfect family is left anything but perfect. Their life together as a family is coming apart at the ends as each is tested to a battle of nerves trying to maintain their share of sanity into the family. It's testing times like these that make them realize the strength of the bond they have always shared and the irreplaceable security having a sister gives. Can these four sisters make it? They have always been successful on the big front when it comes to career and profession, but can they once more play the roles of the little girls they need to play?

I loved this book for the sheer fact that somehow I was able to take a look into the lives of four sisters who felt very much real to me. Danielle has done a superb job with this book when it comes to emotions and the natural way that they flow. I would, however, remark that this book would be an enjoyable read any number of times had she not made the girls look so unrealistically perfect. All in all, if you're a girl who likes reading chic-lit once in a while then I sure will recommend this to you. It's one of the best chic-lits I have read. Go grab a copy or buy online from Amazon.
