Brief Synopsis: as Jarlaxle becomes more and more under the power of the Crystal Shard, Artemis Enteri is also concerned about his own future. After recovering the famed sword "Charons Claw" he works to escape with both the shard and his life, with the purpose of destroying the shard.
Although this book doesn't have Drizzt, it is enjoyable because it develops the character of both Jarlaxle (who's last name is revealed in the last sentance of the book) and Artemis Enteri. Both have far more depth than I ever would have thought in the earlier works.
