Age:
Grades K-3

Genre:
non-fiction

Diversity:
Self-awareness

Illustrations:
The illustrations are created with photographs and drawings.

Personal response:
The book is informational and geared towards younger children. It is simple to understand and also provide images to convey the information. Some of the photographs were a little difficult for me to look at (i.e. vomit) but it is helpful for children in understanding these bodily functions. The book provides facts throughout and it does not overwhelm the reader with information or complex terminology.

Curricular or programming connections:
This book would be good for a science/health lesson on bodily functions.
