it was ok
bookshelves: big-picture, literary-life

Oh, archetypes, fairy tales, myths, stages, transformations, wild women, wise women, women women - too much! I struggled with this one - though I know some regard it as a classic. It was published in 1992 but felt more dated than that to me. Maybe if you were deeply searching for a new spiritual direction, maybe on a retreat somewhere with lots of time on your hands, you could dip in and find something to inspire you. But I think watching a movie starring, say, Angelina Jolie, would work better for me.
