For anyone who has checked messages on a smart phone more than 4 times a day this book is for you. For anyone who has spent more than 2 hours a day in front of a computer screen this book is for you. For anyone who has played a video game or an internet game for more than one hour a day this book is for you. For the rest of us this book is a caution, and is quite informative.

Amy Beth What I find most interesting about these kinds of books (and I haven't read them - you have) ... is that I found out that you read them through a computer screen, that yes, I am addicted to. It's definitely a problem for a lot of people! I try to balance my life by doing other things ..away from the technology. It's good advice to perhaps leave home and go on an adventure ...without the smart phone in tow. How many of us can still do that?

Rick As to your last comment....Pam and I do! Well, granted neither of us own a smart phone, but we have resolved to leave ALL screens behind when we travel, except basic cell phones which we both have - you know the ones that are for talking and texting ONLY. And we travel a lot - 4 trips planned for this year already. We have found that it is possible to disconnect and be happy. (PS: I know what you mean by posting these comments on an internet screen.)
