Read - April 2017
Re read - June 2018

I saw this one on the "most read romances" for the week and decided to give it a go.

This didn't get off to the best start for me because holy adverbs! Adverbs galore! Adverbs raining from the "sparkling" sky. And to add to those adverbs - inner monologues. Lots and lots and lots of inner monologues. Repetitive ones too.

But despite my dislike of the writing style, I did get used to it and the characters did suck me in - I loved their interactions with each other. By chapter nine I was fully engrossed and intrigued to see how everything would pan out.

This really was a pleasant surprise. But I'll knock off a star because the writing was pretty average. 4 stars for the epic interactions between Killian and Vera. They were such great characters.

I loved this. Looking forward to the next instalment!
