really liked it
bookshelves: paranormal, romance, ya-literature

The mark of a good book must have something to do with its ability to evoke emotions, preferably of the intense kind - good or bad.

The author of the Nightshade series is effective at that, because she puts her character through intense emotional situations, and actual important characters die, and we, the audience, are shocked and dismayed. It's possible that something truly awful could happen to Calla, or any of the other main characters, so it makes the journey we take with them more meaningful, and more poignant.

Engaging, action-packed and sexy.
