really liked it
bookshelves: need-to-finish

I really like non-fiction because you get thrown into a world that really exists and all you can do is learn.

A journalist, Sam Sheridan travels the world, training and fighting at the most prestige (and legendary) fighting cultures in the world. He goes from Muay Thai, to BJJ to American Wrestling. Each stop he brings you a new culture with their own way of fighting.

If you have any interest in MMA or fighting this is an amazing book. Not only to you learn so much about the culture of each fighting style, but you gain that underground knowledge of what steps a fighter must take to land a big fight, his payout, the emotions before a fight and the brotherhood that goes along with a training facility.
