it was amazing
bookshelves: read-in-2017

An Unnecessary Woman is about an older woman who lives alone, surrounded by her books. (So, pretty much the perfect life.) Throughout the book she reflects on her past including a short-lived marriage with a husband she never loved, her crazy family, her best friend, Hannah, her job as a bookseller and her yearly tradition of translating one of her favorite books. I loved it from beginning to end.
