really liked it

Three childhood friends decide to spend a month together in the Outer Banks. Ellis painstakingly arranges for a house, gets tourism information, and searches for coupons. Much to their dismay when they arrive they find that the house is a dump and leaves much to be desired. Dorie is worried about having enough money for the month after her sister backs out of coming with them at the last moment and has volunteered to still pay her share even though she can well afford it. While having a milkshake at a nearby luncheonette, Dorie overhears a well dressed woman asking about places that she can rent. Since most places are rented months in advance, Dorie invites her to share the house with them. The other two girls aren't thrilled but understand that the money would be a welcome addition to their month. As the days go by, secrets are divulged by each of them. Julia knows that something is just not right with Madison, the new girl. She is determined to find out what it is and figure out why she has traded her designer clothes for cheap items from K-Mart or Wal-Mart. This becomes a month of life changing decisions for all of them.

This was a great story that became a page turner at the end. It was hard to put down because you were anxious to see how it all turned out. I will be putting her other books on my list.

I have gone to the Outer Banks every summer since 1995 and it was fun to read about an area that I was familiar with.
