This is an excellent book underlining the need for to embrace a lifestyle of Simplicity. While it’s focus is on ecological ‘sustainability’, Elgin does a great job of underlining many of the personal and social benefits of simplicity. It’s only downfall, in my opinion, is that the motivation seems to be more for the sake of ‘preservation’ than spiritual and relational.
