This review is from: Made Maleen: An Erotic Twist on a Fairy Tale (Kindle Edition)
Made Maleen, based on an erotic twist of the fairy tale "Maid Maleen" , is a second chance romance by Jeanne St. James. Made Maleen is a very good love story!! Maleen King and Braydon Daniels were in love with each other when they were eighteen. They were planning on getting married and living "Happily Ever After" in their small rural dairy farm community in Idaho. But unfortunately , everything changed when Maleen's Pop ran Braydon off and told Maleen she wasn't going to stay on the dairy farm and become a farmer's wife. Maleen's Pop sent her away to college, so she could make a better life for herself. Fourteen years later , Maleen comes back for her Pop's funeral and to run the dairy farm. Nothing ever stays the same, especially after fourteen years!! Both Maleen and Braydon have dealt with disappointment , broken marriages, and ups and downs in their lives. Jeanne St. James has done a great job with her character development. She draws you into the emotions and personalities of Maleen, Braydon, and even Kaitlyn("The Wicked Witch of the Midwest").
Maleen( a beautiful, smart woman) has become stressed out and tired of the rat race of being a New York City stock broker. Braydon ( a handsome, strong man) is passionate , loyal, and dedicated to his job as a livestock vet. I loved the chemistry between Maleen and Braydon!! Will Maleen and Braydon be able to overcome the baggage that occurs after fourteen years of living apart? Will Maleen and Braydon be able to rekindle their love for each other after all these years? Will Kaitlyn finally get what she deserves? I thoroughly enjoyed reading Made Maleen!!! I can't wait to read more books by Jeanne St. James!!! I voluntarily received an ARC for an honest review. KMc
