I was lucky to recieve this book from NetGalley in return for my honest review. Cinder and Ella is a reimagining of the Cinderella story. It is tale about two sisters who try to remain strong after the mysterious disappearance of their father. After this happens, their mother slowly beings to lose her grip on reality, their older sister Katrina becomes vain and selfish, and their younger sister Beatrice turns into a spoiled, rotten brat. Cinder and Ella are all each other has. After Cinder gets a job doing maidwork for the castle and Ella runs away they become entangled in a plot by the evil prince Monticello (the very same prince who caused their father to disappear).

I have to honestly say how much I LOVED this book. It was written in such a beautiful, lyrical way that I just couldn't help getting swept away by the lovely fairytale. There are alot of sad and discouraging moments, but the bright moments and good characters always pull through in the end. I thought it was very cleverly written, and both Cinder and Ella had such distinct, vibrant personalities! My favorite part of the book however was the romance between Ella and Tanner (the knight). He is just so damn awkward and clumsy and I absolutely adored the way she teased him about it! It was very sweet.

In any case, I really enjoyed this book and plan on buying it when it comes out so I can add it to my fantasy collection. It is a very good read!
