it was amazing

This is one of my favorite books. I can't say enough about it -- while technically well written, it's the point of view of a young woman who worms her way through a confusing childhood into a confusing adulthood that really touched me. It's full of complex relationships that felt so real that I stepped into her life over and over again through the years. I got this book as a review copy years ago and have never let it go.

Marick Yes! I could relate so well to this character... maybe not her sexual exploits, but how she views the world and how she interacted with other characters. I felt like this was me when I was a teenager growing up in a boring town in Canada. Her relationship with Kenny is totally reminiscent of my relationship with my old friend TJ. He was Kenny. I was Lucy.
