Not really what I had expected, I thought it would be more about her paranormal experiences, but those are only slightly touched on.

This is a gritty memoir recalling horrific events that happened to her throughout her childhood. The book is broken up into small vignettes. This woman went through hell and back.

The book suddenly stops as she makes the decision not to become a prostitire like her friend and remain homeless. Then there is an epilogue that glosses over that she ended up ok - "I have been with my partner for 30 years, have kids etc". It leaves the reader wanting - how did she meet him? What happened after she decided not to sell herself to survive? How is her life now? How did she get past all of this horror? Is she is a place of peace?

I wanted to hear the "Happy Ever After" parts after reliving her horrors. I rooted for her the whole time and then was felt feeling "Then What?"
