did not like it
bookshelves: fantasy, romance, vampires, action, will-not-re-read

I did not like this book.

It seemed as if there was enough story for maybe 40 pages, but it was written into a book of more than 100 pages. The angst goes on and on and on...

The premise of the book was great and it could have been a fun read, but I started skimming pages before I even got halfway.

The only good thing about the book was that it had some action. The heroine was supposed to be a tough ex-cop who goes on missions to save kidnapped children. Yet, as soon as things get difficult she either faints or is so depleted that she can't stand on her own two feet? Whats up with that? She is a stereotypical damsel in distress, so why even bother to make her into a tough cookie?

So, I would not recommend this book even if you are looking for some mindless escape.
