it was amazing

Oh how I love these books!!
I must admit though, when he switched off Corwin's story line (a much-loved character for me) to his son Merlin, I was jarred and perhaps, at least the first several times through, not as appreciative of his character as I might have been had Zelazny finished or brought Corwin's story line to a satisfactory conclusion. Having had the good fortune to have been gifted with The Great Book of Amber, I've had many opportunities to come to grips with this (lol) and can now appreciate Merlin for his own sake - though of course, he sounds and reminds me of his father.
I highly recommend these/this book (a compilation of all the Amber books) as a highly imaginative, wonderful work of intrigue and fantasy. I only wish there were more...
