it was ok
bookshelves: 2012-tbr-reduction, sword-and-laser-group, fantasy
Read from April 07 to 11, 2012

My vocabulary improved while reading this book. Mostly I was working on synonyms for the feelings I had while reading.

Ennui was probably my favorite.

I'm sorry, I just didn't even like it at all. Book 4 was alright. But everything else was just meh.

Quentin, despite being described as super-smart (something I could not see by the way) seems consumed by boredom and apathy. I just kept thinking..."I hate you all" at all the characters.

I loved the idea of this book. It really does draw on Harry Potter and Narnia and The Wizard of Oz but twists it into that realm of 'As if it were real'.

You know, I just didn't like it.
