really liked it

Can I give a book 4.75 stars? It's not perfect but it is a whole lot more deserving than just a mere 4 stars.
This was my first Chris Pavone read. I happened to come across this book at my local HEB grocery store, which has a fantastic book section considering it's also where I buy my milk and cheese :)
The cover caught my eye and the title seemed to intrigue. Anyhow I am so glad I ventured out on this one. An exciting novel of which I could have read in less than a week if I had more than 20 minutes at a time to read. Nonetheless, I would love to re-read this one in a few years.
This novel jumps back from present day to a few years back regularly throughout the book. Normally I'm not a fan, but in this case, it was perfect. The present day writing, typed in a sans serif font (nice touch), gave you just enough information to get your mind whirling trying to fill in the blanks.
I'm a huge fan of Kate. She's smart, but has her faults. Very relate-able, to an extent!

You will never guess the ending, but you may get close.
Looking forward to reading more Pavone titles.
