it was amazing

Excellent collection from one of the modern masters.None of the stories collected here are linked to his wonderful Revelation Space universe but three of them form a trilogy. The best of those is Minla"s Flowers(other two are Hideaway and Merlin's Gun).Titular story is the last in the book and presents a intrigung view of art and artist trough a lens of hard Sf.Beyond Aquila Rift has a splendidly creepy ending in somewhat Lovecraftian fashion,Signal to Noise and Cardiff Afterlife are good pieces paralel worlds idea, while Understanding Space and Time is a hard sf take on last man alive narrative with certain popular musician in cameo role (it is not hard to guess who).If you haven't read Reynolds yet (shame on you)This collection is best place to start.
