What an absolutely charming memoir this is. It’s a delightful account of when Patricia and her mother’s trip to Europe which was to take in London, then a trip via the Channel tunnel to Paris, via Provence and Rome and finally to Venice. What a fabulous journey they had and Patricia beautifully and often wittily describes all that they experienced. I could almost have been in Paris with her as her writing style is so vivid! It made me recall visiting many of the same sights – and made me smile. They certainly packed a huge amount of sightseeing into this trip and were clearly going to make the most of every moment. What comes through very strongly is their love of travel and their pleasure in each other’s company. Patricia seems a wonderfully warm and considerate lady. Added to this are all the super photographs which serve to enhance her descriptions. Venice, Rome, Paris London it definitely was a roundabout journey but one filled with pleasure, although I’m sure it wasn’t quite so pleasurable to make that mad dash back to Rome for the flight home! A super read for anyone who loves travel.

Patricia Ruiz Thank you for your fabulous review, Rebecca. I appreciate your kind words very much. We had such a lovely time and over the years, often reminisce with backflashes. It was an enchanting adventure for me and my mother and I will always remember the fun we had.
