I don't have much to say about this graphic novel. Initially, I was very excited when I found it in the LibraryThing Early Reviewer lineup because I love Anderson's YA novels (yes, that's right, YA novels I love!) and I guess I thought this would have a different tone?

It's a look at the life of Yvain, the Lion Knight, and the trouble he gets himself into after battling a lord to avenge his wounded cousin. After defeating the lord, Yvain falls in love with his wife at a glance (-eyeroll-) and then a thoughtless mistake wrecks his marriage and he wanders off to become the Lion Knight, helping those in need.

It felt like a somewhat random story to tell and I didn't care about Yvain or his travels. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of the art style either and while I appreciate the work that went into illustrating this graphic novel, I didn't find it visually appealing.

If you're big on Authurian legends, this may appeal to you, but it didn't pan out for me.
