I liked this entry in the Tiffany Aching series. I like how Pratchett views being a witch--essentially being the village wisewoman, or even the village mother (with decorative skulls). He is very perceptive about people and how they behave, and is accepting of foibles, even with people of very little brain. I enjoyed the plot about the Wintersmith, especially the involvement of the Feegles, who are always good for a laugh and a "Crivens!" I thought the plot was a little disjointed, though--a little fractured, with the focus switching from how to be a witch to how to cope with the Wintersmith, and they didn't quite mesh. Still, lots of fun to read.
