I immediately felt the connection between the characters. I haven't read a true romance in a few weeks so I was oddly excited by the pure emotions. And also, Carson seemed incredibly forbidden and sexy.

This was a pretty generic plot line though - guy teaches girl about sex. I've read quite a few of these books before - Foreplay by Sophie Jordan comes to mind. But this actually ended up being quite a lot more than that - it was about life choices and coming of age. It was more of an epic romance that took place over many years. I do love a sprawling romance.

Like in so many other romance novels I've read, I skimmed the sex scenes. I'm more interested in the emotional side of romances than the physical side.

I really enjoyed the characters. They were so likeable. This whole book was a bit of a surprise for me - I loved it!
