really liked it
bookshelves: graphic-novel, children-s-fiction
Recommended for: little girls, old BSC fans
Read in March, 2008

As a fan of graphic novels and as someone who adored and owned almost all of the BSC books as a young bookworm, I had fun reading this. The author did a great job with adapting the story. Certain things inevitably are left out or don't translate to graphic format, but for the most part, it was the story and the characters I remembered and loved as a young kid. The nonverbal aspect of the story communicated through the artwork adds a brand new and fun dimension, and it makes this a great pick for young "reluctant readers" and bookworms alike.

Leslie wow, does claudia kishi have purple bangs? she's come a long way from 7-up-can earrings and crabs stuck in the netting of her skirt.
