Released in 2010, this book has apparently been on my shelf for like 7 years. I'm so glad I finally read it! My overall verdict is this is a strong angel/vampire story (vampires are angels in this story universe) that has a similar feel to J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood. I didn't even intend to review this—it was meant to be a "get this off my shelf" & "read something just for me" book, but I couldn't resist since I enjoyed it so much.

The story concept is a lot of fun, especially with the angel-vampire combo characters, and the world building is imaginative. This story feels epic and has some great highs and lows.

The good news is all the books in the series are released. I haven't read them all, so I can't say if it fully wraps up. The bad news is that, at $7.99 each for ebooks, they're not cheap. But, hey, if you're jonzing for something BDB-like and need a new series to start, check out this one!
