it was amazing

As I read this novel the first impression was that of being totally out of my comfort level. I normally only read the Cozy genre and this book was full of sex but not for romance but for revenge. So, I decided I was 'old' enough to continue to read and I was glad I did.

This author has incredible observational abilities. He appears to be able to get behind the normal facades of people and see what motivates their actions, both physical and mental. The understanding of both sexes is evident in this novel.

In a short story, we are introduced to the pain of neglect, betrayal, systematic revenge, causes for cheating, lying, and unfortunately the using of others to gain the upper hand. Yes, normally called manipulation but really plain 'using.'

I could give you a quick synopsis of this story but...to feel the impact, and it does have a wallop for this staid old gal, would not allow you to fully explore the over-lapping emotions that go through your mind as you read it.

This is not a book for younger persons. Definitely a 17+ R rated one. Worthy of a read in my opinion.
