Sarah Carmichael is a teenage girl who lives with her dad and their good friend Theo in a semi desert in Botswana known as the Kalahari. Sarah doesn't know it yet but she is about to embark on a extremely exciting journey, and it starts with the arrival of four teenagers. The teenagers get settled down and all, but Sarah's dad gets a signal about poachers in the area. Him and their friend Theo decide to go investigate what's going on. They've been gone a while an Sarah is getting nervous. She decides to radio them but she just gets muffles in response. In conclusion from all that she comes to the decision that her and the teenagers will go find them. On their travels they discover Theo dead and they realize that it's no ordinary poachers their dealing with because it's horribly illegal to kill someone like that. They keep traveling in hopes to find Sarah's dad but they encounter a lion silver as silver can be, but it's mean too. The crew barely escapes from its graps alive but they are shell shocked from the insane encounter. But that doesn't nearly compare to the horror that lies ahead for them, which you can find out about in the book Kalahari .
What I liked about this book was the constant adrenaline it fills you with with its cliffhanger chapter Enders. This book made me think a lot about what would happen next and if everyone was going to be ok. I think people who like thriller and romance books will like this book. I also think people who read The Hunger Games will like this book as well.
