I had heard my son Alex rave about the "Wimpy Kid" books for several months, so when this one came out I ordered it for him. After hearing him laugh and stay up half the night reading it, I decided to give it a try. I found it a hilarious book. I expected a smarmy and childish tale of a kid, and instead I found it a very astute observation of childhood. Greg combines a clinical eye for the follies of adulthood, but yet his fascination about the foibles of his parents, siblings, and friends are always filled with love and innocence. Now I am reading the earliest volumes and I am finding just as excellent. The only thing I can say is "Zoo wee mama"
