really liked it
bookshelves: historical-fiction, series

I think I liked this one better than the first Josephine B. novel--now that she's finally married to Napoleon. I also was interested in the infertility part of the novel, especially the bizarre treatments and diagnoses. It also made me realize how little I know about that time period. I guess my historical knowledge tends to be about England (due to historical fiction) and the US (due to a lot of US history classes). So, either I need to read some more French history or some more French historical fiction. Or both.
