bookshelves: audio-book, mystery-spy

I know. Wrong time of year. But I'm like that, inappropriate and all, my timing all out of whack, humming Christmas carols in July. Irritating, I'm told. And so it should be no surprise that I liked this book and give it 2.5* when most of Canada and the U.S. are in the middle of a sweltering heatwave. While this isn't Christie's best book, I find I need one of her books now and then, like an old friend ( Wodehouse is in that category as well). There should be a separate rating system for authors like Christie - their books don't have to be amazing to be satisfying, they just have to be characteristic. Those who like Agatha Christie will appreciate this book, those who have never read her before might want to start off with a different one - "And Then There Were None", maybe.

Bettie☯ Well said

Sylvester Good to have you back, Bettie. I hope it was a holiday that took you away. It was bleak without you.
