bookshelves: working-class-history, work-and-labour

Inspiring working class history, through an oral history of a small area in Connecticut. Becher's work is some of the foundational work in movement oriented working class history in the USA; it tells peoples' stories, it gives their lives back when those lives have been stolen and over-written by dominant narratives, and it brings to the fore struggles that have faded in a way that helps revive the working class movement for a better world. This book is a great example of history for progressive social change.
